About the Course
In the first two presentations of the discussion series, we will explore how to deconstruct and navigate complex cases in which multiple parts emerge. Parts work continues to be the most nuanced, dimensional, and evolving aspect of Super Resourcing. It is the most frequent inquiry during Q&A in SR trainings and consultation sessions.
Given the complexity of these two cases, you will be invited to ask your questions as they emerge within this interactive and confidential container.
Session One: Paula (Nov. 2nd)
Paula’s presenting issue was discontent and anxiety. Resolution took 12 sessions in which unprocessed childhood trauma surfaced along with five ego state parts.
Session Two: Joseph (Dec. 7th)
We will explore Joseph’s presenting concern about elderhood and financial insecurity. In this case, four ego state parts appeared within a single session.
Comparing and contrasting these two very different cases will highlight fundamental core principles and procedures of Super Resourcing. Our objective is to develop creativity, competence, and confidence in working with ego state parts.
These presentations will include:
- Recognizing the emergence of parts
- Working with parts who can’t reliably stay in the positive matrix
- Navigating multiple parts who are the same age
- Working with structural dissociation and fragmentation
- Recognizing and working with lateral, linear, and tangential processing
- Managing time and containing incomplete sessions
- Maintaining continuity for parts over time and throughout multiple sessions
- Debriefing sessions
- Assigning homework to support development of new neural pathways
- Receiving consultation regarding your SR clients and parts work
Future presentations will include topics such as: addiction, insomnia, imposter syndrome, medical trauma, expressive arts, and working with children. Please let us know if there is a topic you would like to explore in this interactive and educational discussion series.
