Level 2: Certified SR Therapist

You have the option to be included in our SRI “Find a SR Therapist” database which includes a link to your business website and information about your SR practice. We encourage you to add a SR section on your website so that perspective clients can know more about you and what you offer.

Requirements

To apply for Certified SR Therapist (Level 2) status, the following requirements must be met:

• Complete a 6.0 CE or higher SR training created after 2022 (see class options, or visit the “Training Courses” page on the website.) This requirement may be filled by: 1. Online livestreamed webinar, 2. In-person course, 3. Self-paced home study program, 4. Agency or training which is equivalent to the 6.0 CE Credit course.
• Submit a Certificate of Completion from the organization sponsoring your coursework. Each organization will have its own instructions for acquiring the certificate. Most will require the successful completion of a quiz.
• Provide a copy of your current license to work independently as a mental health professional in the state or province where you practice.
• Complete a minimum of 8 hours of in-person or remote consultation with a Certified SR Consultant. These hours may be accrued individually or in a group or any combination.
• Present a minimum of one full audio SR session with a client. Note: sometimes more than one audio tape is required to demonstrate proficiency.
• Conduct 10 full sessions of SR with 4 different clients.
• Provide a Letter of Verification from a Certified SR Consultant indicating completion of required consultation hours for Level 2 and competence in the process and procedures of SR.

Application Process

Application Fee: $100 USD

When all of your materials are complete, please submit them to your Consultant, who will go over them with you. Your Consultant will write a Letter of Verification attesting to the successful completion of all of the requirements for Level 2: Certified SR Therapist, as well as a statement confirming your understanding and competence in the processes and procedures of SR.

Once your Verification Letter from your Consultant and application fee have been processed by our administrative office, you will receive your Certificate and Badge of Certified SR Therapist.

Once certified, it is recommended that you create (or update) a Super Resourcing section or page on your business website. This will help to optimize your referral information so that prospective clients can learn about your personal approach to SR. Templates can be provided upon request.
